  • The Deal

This morning I watched my last sunrise as a free man

Though it was beautiful, my soul was stricken

I did not want to commit to these chains

The chains that had cost me my freedom

But when one makes a deal with the Devil

He must also pay the piper

There is nothing left but hollowness, an empty shell

A vessel that once filled with life

    Now holds nothing but death

I am bound to a new master

He will use me as he see fit

For I am obligated to do his bidding

For one never thinks about the price he must pay

To live one’s life without regrets

Only in the end do we realize our mistakes

But by then the hour is too late
