Hi. First allow me to start by listing and explaining some of my qualities to help you get to know who I am. Self-motivated, honest, loyal, proud and passionate.
Having been incarcerated for more than a decade, I’ve learned to become self-motivated. Over the years, I’ve seen close friends and others with extensive sentences just give up on life.
Not me! I used my time to educate myself, to push myself in mind, body and spirit. Instead of giving into my dreams, I improved on my life. I received my G.E.D., my high school diploma, and my Associates Degree with Snow College of Utah. All while I was working full-time, taking additional self-help programming classes and volunteering in teaching classes over the span of eight years.
From this I’ve learned to be honest not only with others around me, but also with myself and my loved ones. Being honest with myself has had an unexpected turn of events. It has drawn people back to me and I’ve become a positive influence in people’s lives and now my peers look up to me for advice. Through this process I’m learning more about loyalty and pride. Today I’m proud to be who I am and proud of who I could be with a little more hard work.
Although I’m taking a little time for myself right now I’m finding that I’ve become more passionate in the more important areas of my life (my family, my religion, and my artistic outlet).
My plans for the future include a Bachelors Degree in Small Business, maybe a certificate in building trades, and a CDL sometimes in the near future.
At present, I’d love to correspond with someone of similar qualities and goals. My main goal is to have fun writing people. However, if things turn serious, we’ll see what happens at that time. Although I’m a serious person most times, I’m down for most anything and willing to push the envelope at times. So I hope you’ll take the time to write and get to know me.
Asides from that, some of my pastimes are enjoying the outdoors, hiking, biking, camping and fishing. I also like long drives and taking in the scenery. Indoors, I love spending time doing my art-work and jamming out to 80’s or 90’s Rock & Roll. Taking in the evening at home with a nice home-cooked mean and a movie is also great. Things I’d love to learn more about is being a good parent and women in general. So, Women Of The World, here’s your chance to give advice to a man that’s all ears and willing to learn something new about you.
