Hi,
My name is Stephano D’Andrea. It’s great having this opportunity to make a new friend. Friendships are so important. And, receiving mail here in prison is a true blessing.
I was 24 years old when I came to prison…. now I’m 42. It has been a long hard walk that has been filled with crazy and profound experiences. Gradually I’m coming to the end of my sentence. I’ll be released between 2013 – 2015 depending on the Parole Board. It’s crazy to think my son was in diapers when I got locked up, now he is in his second year of college. He has loved me through it.
Much like Alice, I’ve come to many forks in the road and didn’t know where I wanted to go. What a mess that was. The great news is I now know exactly where I want to go. I even have a road map of sorts…. it’s my life’s mission statement. I’d like to share it with you so you can learn more about me.

Mission Statement
I choose to begin each day with scripture and prayer. To renew myself daily as a man of God.
I choose to be a student of leadership and life always willing to learn what I do not know and perfect what I do know.
I choose to care for my health and body, always being aware of what I subject it to. Daily exercise, healthy food and proper eating habits are mandatory.
I choose to maintain a sharp appearance and proper hygiene. Being in fashion, clean, crisp, pressed, and well kept are mandatory.
I choose to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Legal Studies. A higher education is a must.
I choose to be a loyal and loving father, future husband and friend. Their happiness, success and safety are my priority.
I choose to become a business owner and achieve financial independence. Meanwhile I will be a loyal and hard-working employee.
I choose to be an American patriot, obeying its laws and supporting its citizens and soldiers. This country was built on hard work and Christian values.
I choose to forgive those who wrong me and to pray for those who come against me. I will not let go of God’s plan for my life.
Here is a little more about me…. Over the last few years in prison, I’ve been pro-active in my self-improvement. Most recently I graduated from a 10-week program called y Habits of Highly Effective People. It was fantastic!
I run and work out daily. In the evenings, I take college courses… I’d like to become a para-legal when I’m released. I enjoy reading a lot. Somehow libraries are now cool to me. Too funny.
